The Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Training is specifically tailored for security personnel to ensure their proficiency in handling, storing, and responding to hazardous materials in the workplace. This vital course focuses on the identification of hazardous products, understanding safety data sheets (SDS), and applying proper safety measures to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.

At the end of the training, the graduate will be able to:
- Identify various types of hazardous materials through WHMIS symbols and labels, understanding their potential risks.
- Interpret Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for critical information on handling, storage, and emergency measures related to hazardous materials.
- Implement appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) strategies to safeguard health and prevent exposure to harmful substances.
- Respond effectively to hazardous material spills or exposures, including containment and cleanup procedures.
- Promote a culture of safety by participating in the development and implementation of workplace hazardous materials policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Have no criminal history
- Understand, speak and write French
